I was so pleased to have Liz over to give me a rest when my husband was particularly unwell with Cancer. She listened to his stories and cheered him up.
Liz is reliable, trustworthy and always willing.
Liz came to provide assistance to my mother and to our family as well in reality after my mother had to move in with us. My mother has Dementia and needs support and focused attention.
Liz would help her to get ready for her daily club and when she wasn’t at the club Liz would take her out to a café or to a garden or country house. This helped to keep my mother stimulated and busy and it provided my family with some respite.
As my Mum deteriorated Liz was able to recognize the signs and symptoms and adapt how she interacted with my mum accordingly. She also helped all of us to adapt to the changes. My mum can sometimes be quite challenging, but Liz was able to manage this as she had built up a strong rapport and relationship with my mum whilst always being cognisant of how vulnerable she is but also endeavoring to give her as much independence as she wanted.
I would highly recommend Liz as a personal assistant to help your family through difficult and challenging situations as she has a wealth of experience and is realistic about the challenges that you face.
Liz started providing domiciliary care for my mother and she soon moved on to providing live in care on various occasions when I needed to be away and then as our circumstances changed Liz provided a range of personal assistance to not only my mother but to me as well.
Liz’s background as a very experienced carer means that nothing fazes her. She has encountered so much over her career that she can identify and deal with any situation. This makes her a fantastic Personal Assistant.
Liz is very caring as an individual, but she is also practical, pragmatic, and down to earth. She has excellent interpersonal skills, and she makes things happen.
Liz has been an invaluable resource for us.
I began my career as a caregiver when my friend fell over and broke her hip, while we were on holiday together in Tenerife. We changed our plans to stay three months to ensure her full recuperation.
Following this I returned to the UK and joined a live-in care company called The Good Care Group. That was nine years ago.
Since then, I have assisted clients with Parkinson’s, Dementia, Cancer, and end of life illnesses such as Caude Equine Syndrome.
More recently I have spent time as a personal assistant to a number of clients and find this role very rewarding and enjoyable.
After Covid 19 I chose to become self-employed and cared for clients with mobility issues and strokes as well as the effect of old age.
I continue to support my Mother who is 93. I am one of six children and caring for others is in my DNA
I have an Enhanced DBS Certificate, a Level Two Adult Social Care Certificate and I am fully insured to drive clients'. I also have public liability insurance.
Text me and I will respond as soon as possible. I will call you back in the evenings or weekends when I’m free to discuss your situation and my availability.
Rates vary according to the amount of hours and level of support required. My rates start at £25 an hour for a minimum two hour commitment. We would agree on a starting date and I would work on a trial basis initially to ensure we are all suited to each other.
